Include a Cover Photo on Your Business Page
Having great content is only part of making your Facebook business page attractive, it’s got to look great aesthetically too. Fortunately, adding a cover photo is one of the easiest and most effective ways to do this.
It’s simple. Just follow these few steps:
Hover your mouse above the Cover Photo area on your business page and click “Add a Cover" or "Change Cover".
Click "Upload a Photo" from the drop down options.
Once a photo is selected, you can reposition the image by clicking the image and bringing it up or down.
Save your changes and you’ll see your selected photo in the cover image area. Change it as often as you would like!
Marketing has some LAH logo cover photo options if you are interested.
How to change or create a Username for your Facebook Business page.
Your Username is separate from your Page Name. The User Name has an @ in front of it and allows people to search for your page more easily. We highly recommend creating a FB page Username that is the same as your business Instagram username.
Create a Username From a Phone:
Go to your business page.
Click 'Page' at the top of the page (flag icon). Android users skip this step.
Click on the tiny gray @username, beneath your page name, to the right of your profile picture.
This should take you to a page where you can create a username.
Change a Username From a Phone:
If you already have a username but would like to change it to match your Instagram username...
Go to your business page.
Click 'More' at the top of the page (... icon). Android users skip this step.
Scroll down to 'Page Controls' and click 'Edit Page' (pencil icon). Android users just click 'Edit Page' beneath the blue 'button' bar.
Click 'Page Header'.
Click on the tiny gray @username, beneath your page name, to the right of your profile picture.
This should take you to a page where you can change your username.
Create or Change a Username From a Computer:
Go to your business page.
Click 'About' on the left side of the page.
Click 'Edit' next to Username, beneath 'General'.
This should take you to a pop up box where you can create or change a username.
How to Boost a post on Facebook:
Once you have made the post on your FB Business page, you should see a blue button in the bottom right of the post that says "Boost Post"
Click that blue button and then fill out all of the fields on the page that comes up. You will need to choose Housing as the category if it is a real estate post. In the Audience section, choose who you would like to see this post. Choose how many days you want the post to be boosted and put in your budget. If you have not input payment info. into FB before, you will need to add it under the budget section. When finished filling in all sections, click "Boost Post Now" (blue button at bottom of page).
This will put your post into ad. review. You should get a notification if your ad. was rejected or accepted for boosting within a day. You can manage the ad. in the Ad Center (left side bar on your FB business page).
UPLOADING A VIDEO TO FACEBOOK
Click Photo / Video at the top of your Page's Timeline
Click Upload Photos/Video
Select a video from your computer
Enter an optional update, then enter a Video Title and select a Video Category
To select a thumbnail, click the arrows on the preview of your video or click Add Custom Thumbnail to upload a photo. Photos should be no larger than 10 MB.
Add an optional call to action (ex: Watch More) with a link that people can click at the end of the video.
Click Publish
FACEBOOK VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
We support almost all types of video files, but recommend using the MP4 format.
Resolution should be 1080p or less.
We support file sizes up to 10 GB, there may be longer upload times associated with larger files on slower Internet connections.
Videos must be less than 240 minutes long. The longer your video is, the larger its file size will be. This may affect the quality of the video and the time it takes to upload.
