Email Groups
Would you like to send an email to your entire office or to the company as a whole? You can do that through your own email with email groups that have already been created for you by your I.T. department. In the "TO" line of the email, just start typing the name of the group and it should come up for you automatically. Here are some of the most commonly used groups:
Reset
Don't forget the first course of action to solve an issue is to turn the device off and back on. Just like you need sleep, your devices need to rest and reset as well. Turn off your computer when not using it. Turn off your phone, even for just a minute or two and let it reset.
Would you like to take better pictures with your phone?
Follow these 3 simple tips to help you get the best shot.
1. Clean the lens. Over time the camera lens can collect lint and create a blurred image. Just give it a good wipe with a clean cloth.
2. Turn your phone on its side to take the shot horizontally, instead of vertically.
3. Tap to focus. Before you take the photo, tap on the screen to designate your desired subject in the frame. This helps to adjust the exposure and focus around that subject.
Do you want all of your company files to be easily accessible on your phone?
Download the Google Drive app! The staff at LAH uses Google Drive for all of your company files. You can use the Google Drive app on your phone to easily find, save and send these files to your coworkers or clients.
How to Avoid a Hack
Change your passwords regularly, including social media passwords, and make sure they are strong.
Use capital and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Email Courtesy
When replying to an email group, choose "reply" and not "reply all". This will help to cut down on so many unnecessary emails that can be overwhelming to some.
How to check if an email is spam or not
If It Ends Up In Your Spam Folder
Unless you accidentally categorized legitimate emails as spam, you can be pretty sure that all the emails you need will appear in your inbox.
Look at the Email Address
If you see a long string of numbers in front of the @ sign or the name of a free email service before the .com (or any other domain), you need to question the legitimacy of the email.
Look at the Content
Keep an eye out for emails that say you need to do something right at that second or within a certain number of hours. Rampant grammatical and spelling errors within the body of an email are also good signs that it is spam.
If It Asks for Personal Information
Personal information is only meant to be entered in secure, encrypted forms, not emails where anyone and everyone can get their hands on your information.
How to avoid a scam:
Remember that our brokers will NEVER ask you to buy a gift card for them or send them a check or money transfer. If any text or email looks suspicious or out of the ordinary, it is probably a scam.

How to maximize internet speed
Be aware of items that may be draining your bandwidth (speed).
Close any unused tabs in an internet browser window.
Any apps you have that use internet (i.e. dropbox, iCloud, Spotify, Facebook) should be closed when not in use. To close apps on iPhone: Double click the home button, swipe up on all apps that are in use. To close apps on Android: Click the 3 lines icon in the bottom left of your home screen, click "close all apps".
When using wifi, the closer you are to the wireless router, the faster it will run on your device.
